Reed Paper Ltd : Reed Paper Ltd. of Canada had its beginnings in the establishment of a newsprint manufacture at Tovil Mill in Kent, England in 1894. Founded by Albert E. Reed, the manufacture became a public company in 1903. In 1970 the name of the parent company was changed to Reed International Limited. In 1972 Reed Paper Limited was formed in Quebec City, Quebec to oversee Reed's interests in North America. In 1981 the name changed to Reed Inc. "About Us: Comapny History."
