Series consists of oral history interviews, by Reginald Roy with assorted military figures for a variety of research projects, including an interview with Major General Parkes for the biography entitled For most conspicuous bravery. Various military officers interviewed include: General Burns, Major-General H.A. Young, Captain Marshal Stearns, Lieutenant-General Lane about his career in the Canadian and British Air Force, Air Marshal C.R. Dunlop, General Pearkes, and General E.M.L. Burns, by Chris Maine. Also included are oral history interviews of Major General George Kitching. The interviews were conducted by W. S. Thackery, Reg Roy, and James Murphy. The interviews cover Kitching's early life, his service in the British Army in India, and his career in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1939 to 1965. Highlights of the interviews include Kitching sharing his war experiences, and in particular while General Officer in Command of the 4th Canadian Armoured Division in 1944.
