Born in Ottawa in 1942, Mosher studied commercial art at Toronto's Central Technical School, The Ontario College of Art and l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Quebec. After graduating in 1967, he free-lanced for several publications and became a staff cartoonist for The Montreal Star in 1969, moving to The Gazette in 1969. His cartoons have subsequently appeared in most Canadian publications, as well as in many prominent American publication such as the New York Times, Harper's, Punch, The National Lampoon and others. During the course of his career Mosher has won several awards including First Prize in Political Cartooning at the 1970 International Salon of Cartoon, and the 1977 and 1978 National Newspaper Award for Political Cartooning.Additional information:General note:Received from Terry Mosher, Montreal, Quebec.
