Thunder Bay Labour History Project : The Thunder Bay Labour History (Interview) Project was a project funded by the 1972 Opportunities for Youth programme. The project intended to record on audio-tape the experiences of those persons who, in some way, contributed to the labour history of Thunder Bay. Such a project, it was hoped, would benefit both present and future generations. By preserving a living record of the past for the future, and by providing a primary source for research into their history, the taped inverviews were intened to provide a better understanding of the life and struggles of the workers who contributed to the development of Thunder Bay.

Custodial history:

The audio-tapes were originally deposited at The Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The National Archives received the material in 1974.
