Fonds consists of two speeches by William Aberhart, Premier of Alberta, one about the unfair treatment of the Social Credit in newspapers and the other about Social Credit Party election promises. Both speeches were recorded by CFCN.

CFCN (Radio station : Calgary, Alta.) : In the fall of 1921, William Walter (Bill) Westover Grant opened a radio station at High River, Alberta. In the spring of 1922, Grant moved the station to Calgary adopting the call letters CFCN. In the ensuing years, Bill Grant was a one-man radio operation, keeping the station on the air seven days a week, managing it, programming it, searching for talent and finding time to build and install transmitters for others in Lethbridge. In 1937 Grant's interests in the company were purchased by H. Gordon Love, and in 1942 the corporate name of CFCN changed to The Voice of The Prairies Ltd. In January 1967, Maclean-Hunter Ltd. purchased Voice of the Prairies Ltd. (CFCN-AM, CFVP-SW and CFCN-TV Ltd.) from CFCN Communications Ltd. (Love family).
