Collection consists of thirty-two short documentary films, mostly travelogues. Thirty are produced by the Canadian Government Motion Picture Bureau, one by National Parks of Canada, and another that has no credits.

Joly, Jean-Jacques : Jean-Jacques Joly was born in 1927 in Alfred, Ontario. He is a retired postal worker and former Royal Canadian Naval officer, serving in the forces for 23 years. Jean-Jacques Joly's connection with the film collection was through Oscar Vallée.

Oscar Valée was a collector and private businessman who was a licensed importer-exporter at the time. Oscar Vallée owned a boarding house in Ottawa. In 1969, Oscar Vallée gifted a 35 mm film projector and a collection of films to Mr. Joly.
