Fonds consists of Evan's family films, which show him as a uniformed boy usher and as the Paramount Theatres' youngest manager, his love for flying in an assortment of early aircraft, his baseball team Fox Brooklyn vs RKO Music Hall, romancing and marrying the Ziegfield Follies dancer Edna Moore and the birth of their daughter Dolly.

Evans, George Peter : George Peter Evans was born 28 August 1910 in Marlboro, Mass. He was an instrument pilot who flew the first wheeled aircraft into Baffinland, and was decorated for helping to open up the wartime northern air routes through the Canadian Arctic. He established an Atlantic crossing record of 19 hours and 44 minutes when he flew Lord Beaverbrook from London to Washington, D.C. Captain Evans career was cut short in July 1945 when the OBE B-24 Liberator which he was flying was overdue and reported missing over the Atlantic by the Royal Navy's Commander-in-Chief. Evans was survived by his wife, Ziegfield Follies dancer Edna Moore, and their daughter, Dolly Evans Coulter.
