Canadian Independent Short Film Showcase : The Canadian Independent Short Film Showcase, established in October 1981, is a program of the Canadian Council, administered by the Academy of Canadian Cinema. It was designed to introduce the public to innovations related to independent short films, and to create a wider audience for short films produced by Canadians, this achieved by exhibiting short films in commercial movie theatres.
