Snow, Jack : Jack Snow (fl. 1953-1987) was a resident of Ottawa, Ontario and owner of the Snowís Sparks Street jewelry store. Snow was also an Ottawa business leader and public figure who sponsored many local sporting events. Snow established an Ottawa-based film studio in the 1950s in order to produce television commercials for his jewelry store. These were the first independently produced television commercials in Canada. Snow's production company went on to produce a number fiction and documentary shorts, and several television commercials advertising local events in Ottawa.
