The film starts with, "The wall in front of which the Germans shot hostages." Close-up shot of bullet holes embedded in a concrete wall. Shot of a damaged bridge. Church. People crossing a bridge into town. Soldiers digging two graves for the dead that lay nearby. Shot of French soldiers in a trench firing their rifles. "The machine gun post." A dark scene of a soldier manning a machine gun at a window. "The trench mortar." Several shots of a large caliber mortar being fired from within a trench, and explosions in the field. A large truck hauls an artillery cannon off the road. Shot of the cannon being fired (written on the side of the cannon it reads, 'de 120 LONG No. 10'). The bridge at Lizy-sur-Ourcq." Shot of a steam locomotive upended on a demolished bridge. "The remains of a 'Taube' aeroplane after Allies pursuit." Officers pose alongside the metal fuselage of a crashed German Taube fighter.~"Through Re-conquered Alsace. (An excursion in the part of Alsace which has been recently won back for France)." This title appears as no. 485 in the List of Non-Flammable Pathéscope Films Fourth Edition.~4.
