Correspondence Series B in the SPG archives consists of twenty-five volumes of correspondence with North America, 1699-1799, which include letters received by the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel together with copies of some letters sent by the Secretary of the Society. The National Archives holds an excerpt from B.1 (ff. 158-159) that relates to land transactions at Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, 1699-1713 (box 1, also available on reel H-1994); selections from B.6 comprising letters received from missionaries in Newfoundland, 1759-1785, and Nova Scotia, 1785 (box 1, also available on reel H-1994); and B.25, which consists of letters received from Nova Scotia, l760-l786 (box 1, also available on reels H-1994 and H-1995). The calendars and indexes, 1934-1938, to the series, 1699-1799, were also copied (reels A-164 to A-166).
