250 black and white army, navy and air force photographs dating from World War II to the 1970s.. These are press and publicity photographs, and virtually all include caption information. They are concerned with military hardware and equipment such as ships, aircraft, ground craft, and uniforms; and military exercises, both in Canada and abroad.., 16 views of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during his trip to Ottawa, December 1941.., 17 photographs from the Department of Interior, mainly of Western Canada, during the period 1900-1930.. Included are views of the Peace River, Alta., area; farming; Klondike; buffalo.., 37 photographs from various sources, covering all parts of Canada during the 1940s to the 1960s.. Included are two aerial views of the Avro Arrow aircraft lined up prior to their destruction in 1959; skiing scenes; forest fires; tourism type views of various places across Canada.., Views of people and places in Canada taken by the National Film Board during the period from World War II to the early 1980s.. Included are urban scenes such as shopping malls, traffic, and aerial views of skylines; architecture, both of private and public buildings; industry, including forest, mining, and various manufacturing industries; tourism across the courntry; fishing; agriculture, including ranching; exploration and development in the north; education and educational facilities..
