Series consists of files created and/or maintained by the Bankruptcy Branch. The files are a portion of the extensive series of case files accumulated by the Branch regarding specific bankruptcies. They consist of trustees' reports, notices of discharge, statements of receipts and disbursements, lists of creditors, and on occasion, transcripts of investigations.

The files are arranged by province and therein alphabetically, with separate file blocks for the city of Montreal and Toronto. Most of the files relate to the city of Montreal.
