Sub-series contains the minutes, agenda books and working papers of the meetings of the Board of Governors. The working papers are memos, reports or briefs documenting the operations of the CBC in its administration of a national broadcasting system or the licence applications received by the CBC in its role as the regulatory body recommending the issuance of radio and television licences. The minutes of meetings are available on microfilm reels T-3040 to T-3042.

Also included in this sub-series are the minutes, agenda books and working papers of the meetings of the Board of Governors' Executive Committee and Finance Committee. The minutes of meetings are available on microfilm reels T-3042 to T-3045.

The records come with the following indexes: Alphabetical indexes to the minutes of meetings of the Board of Governors and the minutes of meetings of the Board of Governors' Executive Committee (meetings nos. 1 to 7 only) and Finance Committee (Vols. 720-721); Alphabetically Organized collection of resolutions passed by the Board of Governors at meetings nos 1 to 48 (Vol. 722); and an Alphabetical index to licence applications for new or existing stations by name of applicants by locations and by types. This index refers to central registry file block 17 which no longer exists. This index gives a chronology of the events surrounding applications or renewals of licences (Vols. 723-724).

(Paper) Finding aid 41-31 consists of alphabetically ordered index cards, numbered as volumes 720-724. Volumes 720 (Subject terms: Aberhart to Newspapers) and 721 (Subject terms: North American Regional Broadcasting Conferences to Yarmouth) relate to subjects covered in the minutes of meetings of the Board of Governors' Executive Committee (meetings 1-7 only) and Finance Committee. Volume 722 (Subject terms: Acting General Manager to Yonge Street Property) relate to alphabetically organized resolutions passed by the Board of Governors at meetings nos 1 to 48. Volumes 723 (Subject terms: Abbotsford to Yorkton) and 724 (Subject terms: Abitibi to Windsor) relate to discussions in the minutes of meetings of applications for new and existing stations.
