Collection consists of posters promoting the Art Gallery of Ontario's activities entitled "AGO 25 Artreach - You are part of the picture" and "Art Gallery of Ontario - Artists With Their Work"; poster entitled "From the Four Quarters" advertising a major retrospective of Native and European art in Ontario at the Art Gallery of Ontario, 30 March to 20 May 1984, designed by Ivan Holmes; poster publicizing "Artweek" at the Art Gallery of Ontario, May 10-18, 1986, designed by Richard Male Design Associates Ltd.; and posters advertising upcoming exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Ontario, 1984, designed by Ivan Holmes.

Formerly included in collection were photographs of Mr. and Mrs. William Armstrong and family, Toronto, Ontario; and photos of paintings including interior and exterior views of The Grange, Toronto; painter Georges Agnew Reid and his wife, Mary Heister; and interior and exterior views of Reid's residence in Toronto and Onteora, New York. These photographs were de-accessioned to the Art Gallery of Ontario in September 2001.

Art Gallery of Ontario : Established in the early 20th century, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) is the eighth largest art museum in North America. Located in Toronto, Ontario, the Gallery houses a collection comprising more than 25,000 works, and representing 1000 years of art works. Included in the collection are European Old Masters, Group of Seven, and Canadian and international contemporary works. General note:

Prints were acquired between 1970 and 1992 from the Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto, Ontario.
Photographic material was loaned to the National Archives of Canada by the AGO in 1970 and 1972. The material was copied and original material was returned to the lender. In September 2001 all photographic material was de-accessioned and returned to the Art Gallery of Ontario.

Location of originals note:

Originals of photographs copied and accessioned as 1970-155 (NPC) and 1972-330 (NPC) are located at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO). Copies made from originals by the National Archives of Canada were returned to the AGO September 2001.
