This film highlights an educational field trip undertaken by the Farm Boy's Camp to learn modern farmology, courtesy of the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. The first intertitle announces the arrival of the camp to the city, where they are welcomed by the Extension Department of the College of Agriculture. Bed and meals are provided by the Saskatoon Fair Board at the Buena Vista school. Short scenes of regimented exercise supervised by the Y.M.C.A. are shown as the Camp prepares for breakfast. "Tours of Educational value to places of interest are arranged," with stops at a Canadian Government Elevator anda Quaker Oats factory. A visit to the University of Saskatchewan provides the Camp with a tour of the Experimental Plots, where Professor Champlin explains the value of sweet clover. The boys compete in contests involving grain judging and crop identification. Following a picnic lunch on campus, Professor Shaw demonstrates the intricacies of sheep judging to the boys, who then apply this knowledge in the sheep judging competition. Intertitles announce a visit to the Exhibition where are welcomed by the Fair Board officials but this footage is not presented. The Midway fairground is shown, followed by a shot of the Camp's participation in the stock parade. After a lecture on health given by a "prominent medical authority" the Farm Boy's Camp end their day by partaking in a Western League baseball game sponsored by the Saskatoon Fair Board. The team standing highest in all competit involving the Farm Boy's Camp is shown and an intertitle explains that "the boy making the highest scores in each of the competitions qualifies for a fifty dollar scholarship at the College of Agriculture, and the winner of the Grand Aggregate a seventy-five dollar scholarship."~The winner of the seventy-five dollar scholarship is shown. Concluding intertitles declare "the influence of a visit to the University creates a desire in the minds of many of the young boys to return some day to take advantage of the opportunities offered by this Institution." Final intertitle offers viewers contact information regarding the Farm Boy's Camp. <6mn 48s>
