This series documents Gool's own publishing company, Square Deal Publications, which he founded in order to facilitate the publishing of works by Maritime authors whose voices were not always heard through Canada's major publishing houses. The series includes manuscript submissions n.d.,1965-1986; financial and business records n.d., 1970-1984; correspondence and memoranda n.d., 1948-1988; as well as records related to the promotion and publicity of Square Deal's listings n.d., 1970-1980. The series includes portraits of Terence Johnson, Tom Gallant, Lucy Gertrude Clarkin, P.E.I. Premier Walter Shaw, Robin Mathews, John Oughton, Lakshmi Gill, Gregory M. Cook, (Lionel Stevenson?) and other unidentified people.

A file on the Atlantic Publishers' Association's founding meeting held in Charlottetown, with a copy of its Constitution 1976, is also included.
This series also contains Gool's manuscript articles and poetry for publication in 'Square Deal' magazine, as well as issues of the magazine 1970-1971, review clippings of Square Deal publications 1970-1980, as well as promotional materials 1976-1979, and book tour information 1979-1980. Included are manuscripts by others submitted for potential publication 1965-1986.
