Collection search - [Plans of Klondike Mines Railway between Klondike City and the Forks, and the Nelson estuary] [cartographic material]

Accession consists of two items. Item #1 is a map of the Klondike Mines Railway between Klondike City and Grand Forks, YT. It was drawn in Dawson in 1899 by John W. Westley, Chief Engineer, and signed by the Deputy of the Minister of Railways and Canals in 1901.
Item #2 is a plan of the Nelson estuary from the deepwater in Hudson Bay to the extreme head of tide. It has soundings, two tidal diagrams (June 28, 1915 and Aug. 6, 1917), and three cross-sections of proposed wharves. Area outlined in red reserved by O.G. of March 29, 1909, and area outlined in green is townsite partly surveyed by H.T. Hazen in 1912-1913.

Accession transferred April 1989 from Government Archives Division, RG12, vol. 1740, file 3268-154, part 1, Klondike Mines Railway and from RG12, vol. 1353, file 3304-8, Hudson Bay Railway terminals.
