Rear Admiral R.W. Nelles, Chief of the Naval Staff, Major General H.D.G. Crerar, Army Chief of Staff and Air Vice Marchal Breadner, Chief of Air Staff talk to the camera about the growth of their respective services. Camera cuts to naval shippings, launchings; soldiers marching, firing machine guns and artillery pieces, training; and to airmen in classes, marching, etc. Live action footage is followed by statistics demonstrating the phenomenal growth of the Canadian forces. The film ends with a presentation by the Minister of Finance, J.L. Ilsley punctuated with scenes of a sSpitfire taking off, anti-aircraft guns firing, a plane crashing, burning, etc. The final message is "Do your bit.
