This series consists of reports, agendas, memos, notes, speeches, print material, programmes and correspondence. It reflects McLean's participation in three centennial committees of which he was a member. As part of the preparations for the celebration of Canada's Centennial, the Centennial International Development Program Committee was struck. This committee prepared a program of international assistance and aid which Canada extended to Third World countries in connection with Canada's centennial.

The Manitoba and BC Committees were struck to celebrate the centennials of each of these provinces, in 1970 and 1971 respectively. McLean was a member of these committees. The Manitoba records consist of files on programs and committees, 5th and 6th Annual Reports of the Manitoba Centennial Corporation, Board meeting minutes and various centennial publications and productions. The British Columbia files consist of some Centennial publications, and a number of "Feature Service" and "Spokesman" files, which recall and describe key moments in the province's history.

The Prince Edward Island files consists of correspondence on McLean's participation on the province's centennial committee; ultimately, time did not allow him to join.
