Knowlton Nash and Barbara Frum host this decade ending review of the events and personalities of the seventies. Some of the archival footage used is of a graphic violent nature. The following reporters present special reports: Ann Medina on Lifestyles and Entertainment; Joe Schlesinger on Terrorism; David Halton on the Middle-East; Barbara Frum on Man-Made Disasters, Inflation, and Canadian Literature; Don McNeil on Watergate; Peter Kent on Vietnam; Knowlton Nash on Fallen Canadian Governments, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, and Sports; Don Murray on Québec; Peter Mansbridge on the Canadian West; and Larry Stout on the Family. Knowlton Nash presents a shortened version of the National. In addition stills are used to cover political and celebrity obituaries. Mixed in with these elements are live performances by Nancy White, Maureen Forester, Allan McFee, Oscar Peterson, Rich Little, Fred C. Dobbs, Tommy Ambrose, an all-star band featuring Moe Kaufman, Arlene Duncan and [Jean-Guy Moreau]. Burton Cummings and Anne Murray perform on tape from previous appearances. Frum and Nash interview Donald McDonald, John Hirsch; Gordon Pinsent, Max Ferguson, Johnny Wayne, Frank Shuster, Peter Newman, Paul Soles, Roy McMurtry, John Robinson, Anne Murray, Barbara Hamilton, Fred Davis, and Veronica Tennant. <215mn 8s>
