Canada. Canadian Army. Divisional Ammunition Column, 1st : The 1st Canadian Divisional Ammunition Column was organized in August 1914 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.J. Penhale. It was mobilized at Valcartier.

The column embarked at Quebec on 30 September 1914 aboard MEGANTIC and MONTEZUMA, disembarking in England on 14 October 1914. Its strength was 30 officers and 561 other ranks. The column arrived in France on 12 February 1915, becoming part of the 1st Canadian Divisional Artillery. It returned to England on 21 March 1919 and was disbanded by General Order 191 of 1 November 1920.
