Sub-series documents preparations in Gillespie's constituency for the 1979 election, and the election's aftermath. Many of these files were scattered, and have been gathered into this sub-series. The files include records brought forward from earlier elections, preparation of brochures, organization, a delightful one-page 1971 letter on the importance of timing in politics, official communication with Elections Canada, letters of sympathy and support to Gillespie after the 22 May 1979 election, and his return to Toronto. Gillespie's personal notes of the 1979 campaign are in volume 360; some records of his participation in the Liberal government's election preparations are in the previous two or three series.
