Collection search - Christmas mail lantern slides [graphic material]

Accession consists of two lantern slides, one of which depicts the following Canada Post Office Department Christmas Message: "A Late Gift *** Looks Like an Afterthought *** Mail Early!". The message is printed on a plain white mailing tag running diagonally across the slide, behind and to the left of a lighted red candle both set against the branch of a Christmas tree containing three different Christmas decorations. The slide also bears a "National film Board of Canada, Ottawa" title label.

The second lantern slide depicts the following Canada Post Office Department Christmas message: "Mail your Christmas gifts early, and save disappointment to both sender and receiver". The inscription is set above and to the left of two wrapped Christmas presents, both of which sit on a bough of holly. The slide also bears a "Canadian Government Motion Picture Bureau, Department of Trade and Commerce, Ottawa, Canada" title label.
