Series contains records of Coffee-Mat Services Ltd., a coffee and food vending machine business that Gillespie and others started in 1953. This series includes minutes and reports of the Board of Directors, correspondence, budgets, financial statements, agreements with other vending machine companies, and reports of the sale of the company in 1961. An eight page history, prepared for the sale of the company, is in the first file. The technology of the vending machines in the 1950s is documented in vol 2, file 27; their social context, and their growth in popularity, is suggested by a few advertisements and by some reports, especially in the last file.
