The series consists of theatre programmes and posters kept by Marigold Charlesworth and Jean Roberts, arranged chronologically by decade at the National Archives. The programmes largely document Canadian, British, (and some other) productions seen by Charlesworth and/or Roberts, but may include some programmes that were simply sent to them (although an attempt was made at the National Archives to weed these latter out). Some moldy programmes were discarded from the collection. National Arts Centre and Stratford Festival programmes were largely weeded out since it was felt they were readily available to researchers in other fonds.

Posters include productions by Charlesworth and Roberts at the Manitoba Theatre Centre; the Toronto Central Library Theatre.
