Fonds consists of watercolours, 1916-1922, entitled, "Fort Monroe," "Galinee site, Port Denver," and "Rolph house"; oil painting of the steamers "Beaver and Empress of India" by C.R. Pease (active 1883); and a photograph of politicians from Norfolk County, House of Assembly of Upper Canada, 1792-1841, House of Assembly of Canada, 1841-1866, House of Commons of Canada, 1867-1926, and members of the Ontario legislature, 1867-1927.

Cantelon, W. Edgar, 1866-1950 : William Edgar Cantelon, was born near Streetsville, Ont., and started painting at an early age. He lived in Woodhouse township, but maintained an art studio in Simcoe, Ont. for many years. He became curator of the Norfolk Historical Society, in which capacity he served over a long period of years. Over sixty year it is estimated that he produced more than five thousand pictures. Mr. Cantelon died on March 3. Catalogue of original Cantelon paintings of Norfolk historical scenes and pioneer citizens / owned by the Norfolk Historical Society ; presented through the courtesy of the Eva Brook Donly Museum Commission. 2d ed., 1967.
