Sub-series consists of indexes to minutes of proceedings of the Board of Railway Commissioners (Province of Canada), 1857-1864. This bound volume contains two indexes. The first is arranged alphabetically by location, railway name, and subject, so that any matter discussed at a meeting may appear two or three times in this index. These entries are keyed to the appropriate volume and page number. The second index is a chronological list of meetings with the matters dealt with at each meeting listed beside each entry.
