Fonds consists of interviews, discussions, commentary, readings and other recordings by journalist and broadcaster, Marjory Whitelaw, in preparation for CBC radio programs such as Trans-Canada matinee, Radio noon and Atlantic memories.

Included in the interviews are artist Alex Colville and author Margaret Laurence who discuss their work. Also interviewed are residents of the Six Nations Reserve in Brantford, Ontario, about their ceremonies and customs, citizens from various black communities in Nova Scotia about race relations and other aspects of their lives, medical doctors in Nova Scotia for a radio documentary marking the centennial of the Dalhousie Medical School, interviews of people who knew Lord Beaverbrook for a radio documentary, General Burns, Canadian Head of the United Nations Peace Commission in the Middle East, Professor Papadreous of York University about the political scene in Greece in 1971, University of New Brunswick Professor Stuart Smith about historical architecture, David Pitt, Professor of English at Memorial University about poet E.J.Pratt, and folklorists, musicologists and singers for various Radio Noon productions.
