Fonds consists of an oral history interview in 1982 by Karen Teeple and Joan Sangster of Taime Davis about her childhood in Northern Ontario, her involvement with the Women's Labour Leagues, her activities with the Young Communist League, the Canadian Labour Defence League and the On-to-Ottawa Trek in 1935. Davis concludes with her work for the Voice of Women and the peace movement. Fonds also contains an oral history interview in 1983 by Joan Sangster and Karen Teeple with Alex McLennan, Ernie Hallwell, Lil Ilomaki and Louise Sandler about their experiences with the Ontario supporters of the On-to-Ottawa Trek in 1935. Also contained in the fonds is an oral history interview conducted on July 25, 1977, by Karen Teeple of Gaver Markle, former director of education and welfare for the United Steelworkers of America, Canadian Branch, about the 1953 steelworkers strike in Timmins and the United Steelworkers of America union.

Teeple, Karen : Karen Lynne Teeple is the Manager of Archival Services at the City of Toronto Archives. She obtained her MA in Canadian Studies at Carleton University, Ottawa, and her thesis entitled The 1953 strike at the Hollinger Gold Mine : the United Steelworkers of America and the rank-and-file. She also conducted oral history interviews with former members of the trade union movement.
