Jumbled footage of the Canadian Corps on the Western Front. Infantry soldiers and the cavalry on the move. A Fokker sits under camouflage. Soldiers fraternize with locals. Officers inspect boxcars in a standard gauge railyard. Citizens parade with a stuffed German doll. Troops move forward with a motorized ambulance. German prisoners carry the wounded. Shots of troops relaxing. A signaler is perched atop a building. Buildings burn as men attempt to put out the fire using hand pumps. A truck listed in the mud, its wheel entirely buried. Burial of nurses and wounded soldiers murdered in an air raid on a Canadian hospital in France, May 1918. Canadian soldiers carry the Union Jack covered coffins. A procession of nurses and soldiers walk to the graves. A clergyman in vestments gives the address and buglers sound the last post.~A panorama of the battlefield. Soldiers lay and scramble through barbed wire. Smoke billows from buildings on fire. A small mortar is fired. Soldiers cross a make-shift bridge. Troops bring forward ammunition and barbed wire.
