Fonds consists of oral history interviews by Heather McAllister of labour and governnment leaders who discuss the Prices and Income Commission, statutory wage and price controls and government economic policy during the period of 1968 to 1978. Among those interviewed are Shirley Carr, Dennis McDermott, Mitchell Sharp, Ken Rose and Donald S. Macdonald. These interviews were conducted during Heather McAllister's academic research.

McAllister, Heather : Heather McAllister was a PhD candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Toronto in the early 1980s. Her area of interest is labour and government economic policy. In addition to her extensive oral history interviews with prominent labour leaders and government officials, she undertook a case study of the role of the United Steelworkers of America union in the employee buyout of Algoma Steel, the largest steel producer at the time.
