General note:

The accession consists of student drawings, 20 sketchbooks, from Sweden, Japan, Ethiopia, and elsewhere, drawings which were exhibited in St. John's Newfoundland, drawings for Low's films Universe II, First Emperor, Labyrinth, Echoes of the Sun, Deep Flight and Ex Terra. It includes one portrait of Norman McLaren.
The textual records consist of two series: film project files; and correspondence and research material, including one sub-series of personal correspondence between Colin and Jean Low. Approximately 435 drawings and 165 photographs are inter-filed with the textual records and have been retained in their original order.
