Fonds consists of oral history interviews in 1977 by Jean Dryden of Professor Fred G. Gibson of Queen's University, Kingston, Ont., former secretary of William Lyon Mackenzie King, who talks about cataloguing King's papers. Also included in the fonds is an oral history interview by Jean Dryden in 1977 of Jacqueline Neatby, the assistant of Prof. Gibson and cataloguer of King's papers from 1946 to 1961 and H. Blair Neatby, official biographer of Mackenzie King.

Dryden, Jean E : Jean Dryden, MLS, CRM, is a consultant with qualifications and experience in archives, librarianship, and records management. Her expertise in copyright, particularly in unpublished archival material, has been developed over many years on the Association of Canadian Archivists Copyright Committee. During the discussions leading to the 1997 amendments to the Copyright Act, she played a lead role in successful lobbying for exceptions for libraries, archives and museums. She has been actively involved in developing training materials and delivering workshops to acquaint the cultural community with the recent changes to the law, and is currently developing training materials for other constituencies. She is the author of a number of articles on copyright and is currently writing a book to inform researchers in archives and libraries of their rights and responsibilities under the new Act. Her business CopyRight! was established in 1998 to provide copyright advisory services to a variety of clients. 1037
