An official, cached, first day cover for the John G. Diefenbaker commemorative stamp, issued 20 June 1980, and tied with a "Saskatoon Canada - Day of Issue/Jour d'Emission" postmark.. The cover also bears two examples of the former National Postal Museum's postmark, used at Confederation Heights and one example of the former National Postal Museum's postmark used at the Metropolitan Life Building, the new N.P.M. site in downtown Ottawa. The dates on the old "Beaver" postmark, used at Confederation Heights (are 20/VI/80 and 27/VI/80) which represent the closing and moving dates for the former N.P.M's Pioneer Post Office. The date shown on the new "Parliament Buildings" postmark, used at 180 Wellington Street, (02/VII/80) represents the first day of operations for the former N.P.M.'s Pioneer Post Office at the Metropolitan Life Building..
