Description:

This Hockey Night in Canada telecast features intermission footage only, in which Ward Cornell interviews George Armstrong's son Brian and presents him with a photograph of himself and his father holding the Stanley Cup. Highlights of the game are shown and discussed by Brian McFarlane and Foster Hewitt. National Hockey League President Clarence Campbell spoke about expansion of the League from six to twelve teams, the two new divisions and how they were to work. Brian McFarlane introduced the men who would report on the progress of the new teams to Hockey Night in Canada. At the end of this kine the three stars of the game, as selected by Foster Hewitt, skated onto the ice. They were (in order) : Johnny Bower (Toronto), Frank Mahovlich (Toronto), and Bobby Hull (Chicago). The Leafs beat the visiting Blackhawks by a score of 5-1. <22mn>
