Mackenzie Power and Development Company : The Mackenzie Power and Development Company was incorporated under Ontario Letters Patent issued April 30, 1902, in order to establish a power development project at Canal Rapids in Burton township, Ontario, on the proposed route of the James Bay Railway. Although the company appears never to have carried out its intentions, during the first years of its incorporation its officers were in frequent communication with Mackenzie and Mann concerning the route of the railway which may account for the presence of these records in the Canadian National holdings.
