Arrival of steamship at Quebec. The Vice-Regal party transfers to the Government Tender "Lady Grey" which is seen approaching King's Dock.~Lord and Lady Byng disembark and are greeted by officials. Lord Byng inspects the Guard of Honour. The Vice-Regal party passes through on ornate ceremonial portal decked with flowers, flags, and - in large letters - the word "welcome". (A newsreel cameraman is seen holding his camera on a tripod).~Arrival at the Quebec Parliament Buildings. Departure in an open ceremonial landau carriage. A special Canadian National Grand Trunk train carries the party to Ottawa. "Governor General's Car" clearly marked on the train coach.~Arrival ceremonies inside and outside the Grand Trunk Station (later Union Station) in Ottawa. Inspection of the Guard of Honour at the Parliament Buildings. Lady Byng stops to chat with Girl Guides. Lord Byng addresses the citizens of Ottawa from a special platform erected in front of Parliament with a huge British flag as decor. Departure for Rideau Hall with Royal Canadian Mounted Police escort. (En route, the road is dirt, not paved). Inspection and departure of ceremonial escort. Afterwards, Lord and Lady Byng pose for camera in civilian attire.
