Compilation. Shots of metropolitan Toronto; scenes characteristic of 1922. Governor General Lord Byng and Lady Byng in Winnipeg with Lieutenant-Governor Sir James Aikins of Manitoba; the president of Canadian National Railways, Sir Henry Thornton. Fire creates havoc in northern Ontario in the Temiscaming region. Haileybury is shown. The Kiwanis hold their first international convention in Canada. At Kingston, Queen's University rugby team plays the Edmonton Eskimos. The Honourable Henry Cockshutt, Lieutenant-Governor of Ontario, attends May Day celebrations in Guelph. Bathing suits at English Bay, Vancouver. The TransCanada highway: Lieutenant-Governor MacCallum Grant is present at the beginning of construction in Halifax. In Winnipeg, the Legislative Building is demolished, and the new building is shown. Douglas Fairbanks and his wife, Mary Pickford, are welcomed in Toronto. Pauline Garon, film actress, in Montreal. Sequences from the Canadian film, THE MAN FROM GLENGARRY, in which Pauline Garon played, are shown. The scene was shot in 1922 and shows a dance in the ballroom of the Chateau Laurier hotel in Ottawa. <10mn 39s>
