Original camera tapes shot on location at the Banff school of fine Arts. The interviewer is Mavor Moore, host of the PERFORMANCE series. Guests were selected delegates to the Symposium. These delegates were in Banff at this time to plan for the full International Symposium to be held in April 1985. Their challenge was to devise a new and expanded role for the arts communities in all countries, in creating a better future for al who live on this planet. Some 100 artists and influential patrons of the arts were invited to come and fashion a better future through the arts and communication.~The interviewees are: Neil Armstrong, Vice-President, Banff Centre; Jack Gray, Consultant-Canadian Conference of the Arts and playwright; Karol Malcusynski, delegate from Poland; Henry Tayali, delegate from Zambia, painter and sculptor; Kapila Vatsyayan, former dancer and current head of the Department of Culture, New Delhi, India; David Williamson, Australian film maker and playwright; Ernest Kinoy, dramatist, screenwriter and former chairman, Writers Guild of America; Gratien Gélinas, actor and writer; and Suzanne Alexander, an actress who is involved in education in her native Mexico.
