In episode one, Felix O'Hara, a sawmill owner, surveyor and justice of the peace, and his good friend Cotton [Choquin], a French-speaking fisherman, are celebrating the summer cod catch in the village of Gaspé. O'Hara's wife, Martha, receives a letter from her family in New Jersey telling of the growing rebellion of the Thirteen Colonies. Before the cod festival is over, Charles Robin, owner of a series of prosperous fishing stations and trading posts along the Baie de Chaleur coast of the Gaspé, interrupts the celebrations with news that the village of Bonaventure has been attacked and plundered by American privateers and rebels.Language:EnglishNotes:Genre:DRAMADetailed holdings information: -
