Tommy Douglas, former leader of the New Democratic Party, talks from Ottawa about the federal decision to put a ceiling on the amount they will contribute to Medicare. He discusses how the money might be raised, pointing out we need lots of preventive medicine. He thinks governments can put people in lower cost health care, and there should under no circumstances be deterrent fees. Soles talks with Susan Nattrass, trapshooting champion, now in training for the Olympics. At the Hamilton Gun Club, she demonstrates her shooting style, and tries to show Soles how. She is in favour of splitting the Olympic competition into male and female teams, as the trapshooting is currently a mixed event. Finlay interviews Claude Thompson from the Institute of Canadian Advertisers about advertising ethics and discusses instances where advertisers were sentenced to jail for misleading or false advertising. <27mn>Language:EnglishOriginal number:61-2-2107-5256-CDetailed holdings information: -
