Assignments done for Canada's major newspaper supplements "Star Weekly" and "Weekend Magazine" as well as "Maclean's Magazine" and "Chatelaine". The contents of the collection are varied ranging from portrait assignments of important Canadian cultural, political, sports and industrial leaders to assignments on Canadian cities and small towns. The contents of the collection reflects the eclectic nature of photojournalism, in that coverage is often linked to events of the day. Examples of topics include: the Royal Tour of 1959; founding of the NDP in 1961; poverty in the Maritimes; tenant power; War Measures Act of 1970; students in the 1960s; aboriginal peoples; strikes; Vimy Memorial; uranium mining; hydro-electric power at Churchill Falls..
