Casson is interviewed in Toronto by long-time friend and fellow artist Alan Collier. Casson reminisces about early sketching trips taken with the Watercolour Society and with Frank Carmichael to various Ontario locations including Parry Sound. He recalls his first viewing of Group of Seven paintings at an Ontario Society of Artists (O.S.A.) exhibition in 1916 and describes his early involvement with the Group as an invited contributor. Casson offers his impressions of Group of Seven members: J.E.H. MacDonald, F.H. Varley, Arthur Lismer, A.Y. Jackson, Lawren Harris and Franz Johnston as well as other artists. He describes the opportunities for exhibiting painting in the 1920s and tells of his early shows at the Arts and Letters Club and at the O.S.A. exhibition.Language:EnglishDetailed holdings information: -
