Description:

Speech by Jack Donohue, director and coach of Canada's national basketball team to guests at the Sports Day Luncheon at the Canadian National Exhibition. It is preceded by introductions of some honoured guests, and followed by speeches of thanks and announcements. Next, are the induction ceremonies of members of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the posthumous awarding of the Canadian Athlete of the Year Lou Marsh Trophy to Terry Fox. Among the inductees who speak is former NHL goaltender Jacques Plante.
