Item is an advertisement from the Lang scrapbook soliciting the citizens of Berlin, Ontario, to vote for the maintenance of the city's name. Originally found in the Berlin Record, this advertisement was placed by citizens opposed to changing the name of the City of Berlin. Arguments against the name of Berlin are refuted in this advertisement, including the argument that the name of Berlin was bad for business. Despite vocal opposition, the majority of Berliners voted in favour of a change of name for the city, May 1916.
