Collection consists of 23 test impressions of the Canada Post Office 1939 Royal Train Perfect Machine Flag cancellation, 5 leaves of letters written by Canada Post employee, Charles L. Wilmore, to various postal colleagues in the United States, 1 print depicting Santa Claus and bearing the caption, "For a merry Christmas, mail early", and 34 b&w photographs including images of the Royal visit to Canada in 1939, civic buildings in Regina, Sask., the construction of the War monument in Ottawa, mail sorting equipment in Regina, Sask., and the Experimental Workshop of the Canada Post Office Department in Ottawa.

Wilmore, Charles L : Charles Leonard Wilmore worked for the Post Office Department. In 1939, he was responsible for the machine cancellations of all mail posted through the Railway Post Office aboard the Royal Train tour of Canada and the United States.

Wilmore died in 1941.
