Fonds consists of 1 cm of textual records, comprised of personal correspondence, research notes, stamp club meeting notices, Canadian postage stamp dealer price lists and related documents. Correspondents include Fred Jarret and H.E. Guertin. Dealers include C.P. Arnold, F.G. Atkinson, Rev. E.A. Butler, J.S. Siverts, and Stanley Stamp Co. Ltd. The majority of the meeting notices were issued by the Stamp Club of Hamilton during the 1930s.

McLennan, Lindsay M., 1900-1983 : Lindsay M. McLennan was a noted philatelist and postal historian. He was born in 1900, in Guelph, Ont. In 1924, he graduated in pharmacy from the University of Toronto. McLennan died in October, 1983.

McLennan's interest in philately began in 1912. In 1926, he gathered a large collection of airmail private flight labels, then in use. McLennan was a founding member of the Hamilton Philatelic Society, ca. 1934. His personal collections included a specialized postal history of Canada, a general collection of the world, and a corner card cover collection of hospitals, pharmacies and radio stations. Eventually, McLennan's principal interest shifted from philately to numismatics, paper currency in particular. Irwin, Ross. "The drug trading philatelic hoard." PHSC Journal, No. 54, p. 21.
