The series consists of records created and maintained by the Grand Trunk Railway Company and includes reports prepared semi-annually through 1863, annually from 1922. These reports include both handwritten originals and printed copies.

Volume 16349 contains in addition the following material:

Financial and Operating Reports for Locomotive and Car Department (1864) and half yearly reports from the Mechanical and Engineers Department (1865-1873),

Volume 16357 contains statements of account for the Grand Trunk and exhibits relating to the arbitration case in ca. 1918-1923 and also correspondence and memos relating to George Lovibond case vs. the GTR.
