Description:

Interview of Yrjö Korpi by Einar Nordstrom for the Multicultural History Society of Ontario about Finnish Canadians. Yrjö Korpi was born in Finland and immigrated to Port Arthur in 1930. He worked as a bushworker and was involved with the unemployed movement and the Lumber Workers Industrial Union (LWIU). The bulk of the interview focuses on his experiences in Spain during the Spanish Civil War. He was troubled by Mounties after returning from Spain. <45mn>
